Shagun register: write every shagun on your phone

At every wedding someone sits at the table with a register and a pen, writing down each lifafa as it comes in. Vehvar is that shagun register on your phones.

What is a shagun register?

A shagun register, or shagun ki list, is the record of the gift money each guest gives at a wedding or a shubh occasion. Families use it to count the cash the same night, to thank people, and for vyavhar: knowing what to give back when that family has a function.

What to write for each guest

  • Name of the guest or family, as you would write it in the register.
  • City or village, so two people with the same name don't get mixed up.
  • Amount, and whether it came in cash, by UPI or as a gift.
  • The function: Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, Shaadi, Reception, or the rituals where neg is given.

Why the paper register goes wrong

The line keeps moving, handwriting gets rushed, two people write in two different books, and at midnight the totals don't match the cash. Vehvar keeps one register for everyone, adds it up as you go, and shows cash, UPI and gifts day by day so the count matches.

How it works

  • Create your wedding and pick the functions.
  • Share one link on the family WhatsApp group and tell desk people the PIN.
  • Type the name; the city and amount are taps. Export to Excel or print the register when you're done.

Try it at your next function

Your first 10 entries are free. No app to install: the desk opens a link on any phone.
