Chandla book: your chandlo register, on every desk phone
At a Gujarati wedding the chandla book sits on the table by the entrance, and someone from the family writes each chandlo as the guests come. Vehvar puts that chandla book on your phones.
What is a chandla book?
The chandla book, chandla nondh or chopdo is where a family records the chandlo given by each guest: name, gaam, amount or gift, and the function. It is used to count the cash that night and kept for vehvar, so you know what to give back at their functions.
For every function
Chandlo Matli, Mehndi, Garba or Sangeet, Mameru, Lagna and Reception: add the functions your family is collecting at, and each entry is saved under the right one. A guest giving for two functions gets an entry for each, with its own amount.
Made for the desk
- Only the name is typed. The gaam and amount are taps, and your most-used ones come to the top.
- Several family members can write from their own phones into one chandla book.
- Works even with weak network at the venue; entries sync later.
- Print the register or download it as Excel, sorted by surname so families are easy to find.
Try it at your next function
Your first 10 entries are free. No app to install: the desk opens a link on any phone.
